Request for quotation – 200 units, delivery in March (richiesta di preventivo)

Follow-up: meeting on 12 July (seguito di una riunione)

Action required: contract signature by Friday (serve un’azione entro una data)

Quick question about invoice 2026/114 (domanda breve e precisa)

Evita oggetti come “Info”, “Question” o “Urgent!!!”: non danno contesto e i punti esclamativi, in inglese, suonano aggressivi.

Come aprire l’email

I am writing to enquire about…”

Frasi brevi, verbi diretti. “We would like to request…”

Invece di “Let me know your thoughts”, meglio “Could you confirm by Friday whether this works for you?”

Come chiudere l’email in modo professionale

Prima della firma, una riga di cortesia aiuta a chiudere bene il messaggio: “Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions” (Non esiti a contattarmi per qualsiasi domanda) oppure “Looking forward to hearing from you” (Resto in attesa di un suo riscontro).

Formale o semi-formale?

Formale: Dear Ms Taylor, … I would be grateful if you could … Yours sincerely

Semi-formale: Hi Sarah, … Could you please … Best regards

1. Richiesta di informazioni a un fornitore

Subject: Request for information – packaging solutions

Dear Mr Collins,

I am writing on behalf of Rossi Srl, a food company based in Milan. We are looking for a new supplier of recyclable packaging, and we came across your products at the Packaging Expo in Bologna.

Could you please send us your current catalogue and price list for orders of around 5,000 units per month? We would also like to know your usual delivery times to Italy.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely,
Giulia Rossi
Purchasing Manager

2. Follow-up dopo una riunione (semi-formale)

Subject: Follow-up: meeting on 12 July

Hi Sarah,

Thank you for your time yesterday. As agreed, I am attaching the updated proposal with the new delivery schedule.

To summarise the next steps:

you will check the budget with your finance team;

we will send the draft contract by 20 July.

Please let me know if I have missed anything.

Best regards,
Marco

3.
