Introduce yourself, meet your coworkers, and survive your first week — in English.
The first days in a new job are hard in any language. In English, they can feel impossible: new names, new places, new words — all at the same time. The good news? You only need a small set of phrases to make a great first impression, and this module gives you all of them.
You will learn to say who you are and what you do (“I work for a company that makes office furniture”), to talk about your experience (“I’ve worked in a shop, but I’ve never worked in an office”), and to ask for help without feeling small (“Can you show me how to use the printer?”). Short sentences. Real situations. Words you will use tomorrow morning.
Everything is built around one theme: a short reading about the first week, vocabulary flip-cards, ready-to-use useful language, a slow and clear podcast made for your level, and a roleplay (speak it or write it) with your AI Tutor. Grammar is practised inside these, step by step.
🤖 Your AI Tutor is part of this module. Use it for the roleplay and to ask anything — a word, a phrase, “how do I say this?” It remembers you: the words you find difficult come back in your review, and the Tutor starts from where you left off. (See Start Here for the full guide.)
🎯 By the end of this module, you will be able to:
🔤 Grammar in this module. Two grammar points power this theme: the present perfect with ever, just, already, yet — the tense of first-week conversations (“Have you ever worked in an office?”, “I haven’t got my badge yet”) — and relative clauses with who / which / that, which let you describe your job and company in one natural sentence. You will hear both all through the podcast and the dialogue. Each has a short explanation and G1–G4 practice.
