ROLEPLAY

The Office Tour

It’s your first day. Sam, a friendly coworker, is showing you around. Time to talk!

🎭 Your scenario. Today is your first day at a new company. Sam, a friendly coworker, meets you at the door and shows you around the office. Chat with Sam below and try to:

  • introduce yourself — your name and your job;
  • describe your last job or your company with who / which / that;
  • answer Sam’s “Have you ever…?” questions with the present perfect;
  • ask two questions about the office (where things are, who to ask for help).

Use the phrases from Useful Language — write your replies to Sam in the chat.

This is your rehearsal: practise the conversation here as many times as you like. You will speak for real in the Final Speaking Assignment at the end of the course.
