Overview & Goals

MODULE 1 · FLUENT AT WORK — A2

My Job, My Day

Talk about your work and your day — the first thing everyone asks you in English.

“What do you do?” It is the first question at work, at a dinner, everywhere. In this module you learn to answer it well — and to talk about your normal day: “I work in a warehouse. I start at six. I usually finish at two.” Short sentences. True sentences. Your sentences.

There is a secret here: your daily routine is the easiest English you will ever learn, because you repeat it every day. Learn to say your day once, and you can say it forever. That is why this is Module 1.

Inside the module: a short reading, vocabulary flip-cards, useful language for talking about your job, a slow podcast made for your level, and a speaking roleplay with your AI Tutor.

🤖 Your AI Tutor is part of this module. Use it for the speaking roleplay, and try this: tell it about your real job, one sentence at a time. It remembers you: difficult words come back in your review. (See Start Here for the full guide.)

🎯 By the end of this module, you will be able to:

  • say what you do: “I work as… / I work for… / I work in…”;
  • describe your normal day, from start to finish;
  • use always, usually, sometimes, never in the right place;
  • ask questions about someone’s job and day (“What time do you start?”);
  • keep a simple conversation going with short, natural answers.

🔤 Grammar in this module. Two grammar points power this theme: the present simple — the tense of habits and facts, the heart of “my day” English — and adverbs of frequency & question forms (“I usually start at nine”, “Do you work on Fridays?”). You will hear them in every line of the podcast and the dialogue. Each has a short explanation and G1–G4 practice.

📦 What’s inside this module
