Start Here: Welcome & How This Course Works
In B1 you learned to participate confidently. Now the goal is to influence and lead: persuade people without imposing, communicate across cultures, handle difficult conversations, talk about data, lead a team, network strategically, manage change, and write like a strategist.
📍 This is level 4 of 8 in the Fluent at Work path (A1 → A2 → B1 → B1+ → B2 → B2+ → C1 → C2). Every level builds on the one before.
Learning to lead confidently in English isn’t about memorising more grammar rules — it’s about being able to do real things: persuade a skeptical colleague, navigate a culturally sensitive negotiation, give a hard piece of feedback, present numbers with impact, delegate with clarity. This course is built around exactly those situations, one module at a time.
📚 How each module works
Every module follows the same simple rhythm, so you always know where you are. You meet the language in context (Reading), check your understanding (Quiz), meet the key words (Quick Vocabulary), study the grammar that supports the topic (Grammar + Practice), listen to a real conversation (Podcast), collect ready-to-use phrases (Useful Language), put them down in writing for an AI coach that corrects you in seconds (Writing Practice), and finally rehearse the whole conversation with your counterpart (Roleplay). A set of revision notes to read on your phone or print (Unit Review) gathers the whole module in one place, before a Final Quiz closes it.
🎙️ Two ways to do your roleplays
In every roleplay you choose how to practise: Speak it — press Play, allow your microphone and talk out loud, and your partner answers with a real voice — or Write it, a written chat at your own pace. Same scenario, your choice.
Speaking out loud is the fastest way to get comfortable, so try the voice at least once. You will speak for real in the Final Speaking Assignment at the end of the course, where one of our teachers listens to you.
🎧 Two kinds of vocabulary
You’ll notice two different vocabulary experiences: Quick Vocabulary lessons (flip cards, browse freely, no pressure) and the Podcast vocabulary inside audio lessons (tracked, with a memory system that brings back the words you find hard). See the “How Vocabulary Works” lesson next for the full picture.
🎓 At the end
The course closes with a Final Speaking Assignment: a recorded audio task reviewed personally by our teaching team. Once approved, your certificate unlocks automatically.
