Meetings

In this module you will learn the language you need to take part in business meetings with international colleagues — how to make proposals, agree and disagree politely, and talk about decisions and actions.

We know the feeling: you’re in a meeting, you have a great idea — but by the time the right English words arrive, the moment has gone. That’s completely normal, and it’s exactly what this module is here to change. You don’t need hundreds of new words: a handful of the right phrases, practised a little at a time, will make you sound clearer and far more confident.

Think of this module as your meeting toolkit. Each lesson gives you one more tool — a way to propose an idea, to disagree without sounding rude, to check you understood correctly. By the end, joining a meeting in English will feel a lot less scary and a lot more like something you can actually do.

And while you do this, you’re building more than phrases. Across the module you’re also strengthening your grammar, sharpening your listening and pronunciation, and growing your vocabulary — all around the same real-world theme, so everything connects and actually sticks.

This module has two vocabulary tools, and only one of them remembers you.

Quick Vocabulary flip cards are a fast, no-pressure first look at the key words — flip, listen, done. No tracking.

Podcast Vocabulary (inside the podcast lesson) has memory: tap “Lo so” (I know it) or “Ancora difficile” (still hard) after flipping the card — or tap “✓ La so già” right on the front if you already know it, which counts the same and skips ahead. Your hard words don’t disappear — they come back in the “Ripasso personalizzato” pop-up (a small floating box that appears on its own when it’s time to review) and in the AI Tutor roleplay, until you’ve tapped “Lo so” on that word in 3 separate review sessions.

“← Precedente” / “Successivo →” just move between cards — they don’t count toward your 3 confirmations.

A small progress card appears once a day (after logging in, or on your first visit that day). Close it any time — it’ll be back tomorrow.

use Past Simple vs Present Perfect, reported speech and question tags accurately;
understand and use key meetings & business vocabulary;
follow native and non-native speakers in international meetings (listening).

🔤 Grammar in this module. Three grammar points power this module: Past Simple vs Present Perfect, Reported Speech and Question Tags. You’ll report back what colleagues said in the meeting (reported speech), review what’s already been agreed (past simple vs present perfect), and soften proposals with tag questions in Useful Language — Proposing & Disagreeing (“That works, doesn’t it?”). Each point has a short explanation and practice exercises.
