MODULE 7 · TALENT TALK — ENGLISH FOR HR
Meetings with International Teams
The call with head office is where your work becomes visible — or invisible.
In this module you will learn to hold your own in a meeting where you are not the strongest speaker in the room: getting into the conversation, interrupting without rudeness, checking you understood, reporting decisions accurately afterwards, and making sure the actions have names and dates attached.
🎯 By the end of this module, you will be able to:
- open and chair a call with colleagues in other countries;
- interrupt, come back in, and ask someone to repeat — without apologising for existing;
- check understanding before a misunderstanding becomes a decision;
- report what was said using reported speech;
- write minutes that make actions and owners impossible to miss.
🔤 Grammar in this module. Reported speech (she said that…, they asked whether…) — the grammar of every set of minutes you will ever write — and prepositions of time and place. Each has a short explanation and G1–G4 practice.
