Welcome to Talent Talk

English for the real moments of an HR job: the job advert, the interview, the first week, the review, the difficult conversation, the announcement, the meeting and the offer.

Work through the modules in order. Each one follows the same rhythm, so after the first module you will always know what comes next. Read this page once — then dive into Module 1.

🧭 How each module works

Overview · Reading · Quiz · Vocabulary · Grammar · Useful Language · Writing Practice · Podcast · Quiz · Grammar · Roleplay · Unit Review · Final Quiz

  • 📖 Reading. A real article, adapted for your level. The key words are underlined in the text — hover over them, or tap them on your phone, to see the meaning without leaving the page. At the end you will find the same words in the Key vocabulary box. Six quick questions follow.
  • 🔤 Vocabulary. Eight flashcards. Tap a card to turn it over and see the definition and an example; the speaker under each card plays the pronunciation, and the microphone lets you check your own. Come back to these often — two minutes here is worth more than twenty once a week. The next lesson, How Vocabulary Works, explains how the course remembers the words you find hard.
  • 🧩 Grammar. One explanation plus four short practice quizzes, twice per module. Do them in order.
  • 💬 Useful Language. The phrases you will actually say, grouped step by step. Every phrase has a speaker button. At the bottom there is a full conversation with the audio and the transcript: press play and read along.
  • ✍️ Writing Practice. One realistic task — an email, a review summary, an announcement. You write it, and the AI corrects it in Italian, explaining why, not just what.
  • 🎧 Podcast. Real people from the working world speaking, not a recording made for learners. Use the transcript the second time you listen. Six quick questions follow.
  • 📄 Unit Review. Revision notes to read on your phone or print, with the grammar, the words and the phrases of the module in one place.
  • ✅ Module Final Quiz. About thirty questions on the words, phrases and grammar of the module. You need 70% to pass — and you can try again.

🎙️ Two ways to do your roleplays. In every roleplay an AI counterpart plays the candidate or the colleague. Choose Speak it — press Play, allow your microphone and talk — or Write it, a written chat at your own pace. Your counterpart will not stop to correct your English: they stay in character, and at the end they step out of the role and give you short feedback. Mistakes are fine — that is exactly what the roleplays are for.

🤖 Your AI Tutor is always one click away. The purple AI Tutor button on the right answers any question — a word, a phrase, “is this too direct?” — in English or in Italian.

🏁 How this course ends. Not with a quiz, but with your voice. When you finish the modules you clear a Final Vocabulary Review of the words you found hard, then you play The Hiring Game: nine decisions that follow one hire from the job advert to the twelve-month review, saying why in English at every move. Then you record one short Final Speaking Assignment — four HR moments: an interview opening, a feedback message, a team update and an offer — and one of our teachers listens to it, sends you written feedback and, on approval, unlocks your certificate.

Do a little, often: twenty minutes a day beats three hours on a Sunday. Let’s begin. 🚀
